Liverpool considering to sack Brendan Rodgers and appoint Diego Simeone

Liverpool are considering appointing Diego Simeone as their next boss. Pressure is mounting on Brendan Rodgers after the Reds were knocked out the Champions League despite spending £110m in the summer.
He splashed out £16m on Mario Balotelli but the gamble hasn’t paid off and the Italian bad boy has been more trouble than he’s worth.
Balotelli has netted just two goals and has upset senior players at Anfield with his poor attitude.
Atletico Madrid boss Simeone has recently shelved talks over a new contract with the La Liga champions.
He is taking extra English lessons with a private tutor and is understood to be keen on a move to the Premier League.
The Argentine is under contract until 2017 but has an escape clause in his contract allowing him to get out.
But despite Liverpool’s interest, it is Manchester City who are best-placed to snap him up should they axe Manuel Pellegrini.
Pellegrini guided City into the last 16 of the Champions League but his job is far from safe.
